ABSTRACT
Summary. The Lehigh University Libraries has entered the vestibule of virtual reality. The term “liberspace” has been chosen by the Libraries to designate the conceptual space of the virtual library. The author describes the environment and discusses how staff and patrons are functioning within it. Varying perspectives on the interaction between human values and technology are summarized.
