ABSTRACT
The material introduced in Chapters 37 and 39 opens up a vast new array of propositional forms. Anything like a systematic account of these is out of the question within the limits of this book. What we shall do instead is merely to give a fairly detailed discussion of a few examples; but if you work carefully through these and then through the exercises at the end of this chapter, your grasp of quantification theory should be considerably increased.
