ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with construction of new angular models with new techniques by utilising: (i) Rising Sun function, (ii) positive definite sequences, (iii) discretization of circular models, and (iv) circular models through differential equations. New circular models called Rising Sun von Mises distribution (RSVMD), Rising Sun wrapped Cauchy distribution (RSWCD), Rising Sun wrapped lognormal distribution (RSWLGND), Rising Sun wrapped exponential distribution (RSWEXPD) and discrete wrapped exponential distribution (DWEXD) are constructed. Having constructed the new Rising Sun circular models, graphs of pdf, cdf and characteristic function of the above distributions are shown. Then construction of circular models using positive definite sequences in the form of Toeplitz Hermetian positive definite matrices and differential equations are explained.
