The Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL) project comprises the construction of a 109 km long double-track railway section for the conveyance of passengers with an option for the conveyance of goods. This section extends from the Channel Tunnel Terminal at Folkestone to St. Pancras Station in the heart of London (see Figure 1).
