ABSTRACT
In case of constructing a tunnel in a mountainous region, especially where the overburden is shallow such as portal zones, tunnel excavation could induce a landslide and have actually been reported. Although much is yet to be known about the causal relationship between landslides and tunnel excavation, many studies have enabled the formulation of technical guideline.
