ABSTRACT

One of the sections of the Krasnopresnensky project that is currently under construction in Moscow goes through an automobile tunnel combined with one of the metro lines. During the construction of the intertunnel connections, injections were made for ground consolidation. The ground in the consolidated section is represented by two varieties of low-moistened sands of average density:

– Fine sands with interbeds of silty sands – Medium-grained and coarse sands, rarely gravelly, with single boulderswith a diameter less than 0.5m.
