ABSTRACT

Theology Without Walls seeks to understand the nature of divine reality through an exploration of all the world’s religious traditions, without confining itself to any one in particular. This chapter discusses why theology has traditionally been done “within walls,” that is, within the boundaries of specific traditions, and suggests that in our time, we are called to a new, more expansive and comprehensive theological approach.
