ABSTRACT

Two of the most prevalent ways to work with dreams in groups were developed by Montague Ullman and Jeremy Taylor, and both are transparent in their use of projections by group members as a key part of the dreamwork process. An experiential dream group method from Japan is also introduced. Group process with dreams is a wonderful way to demonstrate the incredible depth and richness that can come from a dream. The process also teaches group members exactly how it feels to project one’s own material onto someone else’s dream, and thus is an effective vehicle for teaching dreamwork. Group dream process is briefly introduced, and a detailed clinical example follows that illustrates the power of the process.
