ABSTRACT
In order to detect post insulator and porcelain bushing with ultrasonic, according to the characteristics of insulator probe made to test the effective detection method is recognized, creeping wave detection, but it is found that the probe creeping wave probe produced by using the theory of calculating wafer angle than 3°or mistress degree angle both can produce similar creeping wave display. This paper studies the creeping wave method of ultrasonic detection of flaws in a porcelain pillar insulator.
