ABSTRACT

The principle of beauty in form is a universal law in the field of design and a guideline for all creative design activities. This paper uses the methods of literature reading and field research to explore the application of formal beauty rules in the design of urban public environmental facilities. The Study conclusion shows that in the design of city public environment facilities, ‘contrast and unity’, ‘rhythm and rhyme’, ‘symmetry and balanced’, ‘proportion and scale’ and other aesthetic principles not only can meet the functional demand of users, but can also give people more artistic beauty in form.
