ABSTRACT
This study analyzes the policies and practice of STEM education in four representative Asian countries, China, Japan, South Korea and Singapore, based on a review of policy documents and research reports. An overview of historical STEM policy is shown in this study, and the impact of national investment on STEM education at three levels (the policy, programmatic and classroom levels) is also valued. At the end of this chapter, both the promising current situation and challenges of STEM education in Asia are analyzed and discussed.
