ABSTRACT

The problematic of soil-structure interaction has been under research for many years, but the optimal procedure of numerical modeling of such task is still not known and the results are insufficient. For this reason, parametric study was created to clarify influence of the input parameters of boundary conditions as well as dimensions of the selected model to the final deformation of the slab on the elastic sub-soil. For this purpose, a computational model of the slab on the flexible subsoil was created in Ansys 18.0. Soil model is based on the elastic half-space theory assuming that large enough cube can substitute the half-space. Soil was represented as a finite element cube with different dimensions. Finally, three different types of boundary condition were applied and compared. Influence of the boundary conditions is observed.
