ABSTRACT

The positive property of fly ash to reduce the negative impact of aggressive environment on the life of the grouting mortar, together with the achieved strengths results, serve as the basis for the recommendation of their possible practical utilization. The research has been performed in laboratory of building materials and was mostly involved in the determination of the chemical or physico–mechanical parameters of the mixtures with secondary energy materials to find appropriate recipes suitable for grouting works. The results of strength and freeze tests demonstrate the possibility of replacing up to 20% of the amount of cement screed specified by the secondary fly ash in the proposed recipes. The final evaluation deals with the possible use in practice, including recommendations for next practice finish.
