ABSTRACT

This work compares the construction costs and the most frequent reasons of overpriced motorways between the Czech Republic (CR) and Germany (GE). The cost of 1-km (in mil. CZK) of the selected motorways was: 451 (CR) and 389 (GE). In CR, the rise in the price was incurred primarily by the land planning procedure and building permit procedure. The cost of motorways in the CR did not differ significantly from those in the GE.
