ABSTRACT
This chapter argues that what science says about unobservable things is probably neither approximately true nor liable to change in such a way as to increase in truthlikeness. It does so primarily by extending the argument from unconceived alternatives from theories to other kinds: models, explanations, predictions, methods, and so forth.
