ABSTRACT

Aside from mediating the conversation between coach and client, digital technologies can support and enrich coaching processes in diverse other ways. To take advantage of the potential of these digital solutions, and to guide coaches’ decisions for selecting a tool that meets individual coaching needs, it is essential for the coach to understand the capabilities and features of the different tools available. This chapter examines the broad spectrum of digital supporting tools that can be used to carry out different coaching tasks and to support coaching clients along the various phases of the coaching process. It considers the role of the different types of digital supporting tools to support aspects of coaching and it proposes a taxonomy of tools, to make sense of the diversity.
