ABSTRACT

The data editor window is the main data editor where all the data are entered much like an Excel spreadsheet. The most common type used is numeric, which means that the variable has a numeric value. The other common choice is string, which means that the available is in test format. The researcher has to note down as to how many cases, how many variables, and the level of measurement of each variable. Researchers may need to run analysis on a subject of the cases from the existing variables based on certain conditions. The split file commands temporarily split the file into groups. All the analysis done after splitting a file will be done separately on different subgroups, and the output will be arranged according to these groups. The default option in the window is to analyze all cases, do not create groups.
