ABSTRACT
Patients may present to the urgent eye care service with potentially life threatening pathology associated with a new onset of headaches. This chapter details how to identify such patients, and gives the reader a method to work through relevant history and examination findings. Giant cell arteritis is one such condition not to miss; this chapter explains steps to diagnose cases in the eye casualty and how to avoid common pitfalls.
