ABSTRACT
Triage in the urgent eye care service is important so sight and life threatening emergencies are seen as a priority over less urgent, low risk pathology. This chapter gives a method of triaging referrals based on telephone referral or patient presentation. Particular focus is given on which features relate to high risk cases that need priority and methods of redirecting low risk cases are given.
