ABSTRACT
Trauma to the eyelids and surrounding areas requires particular examination to tailor treatment and investigation. This chapter gives a systematic approach of examining such cases so that the reader does not miss serious, sight-threatening injuries and instigates repair depending on the location and extent of the damage. Methods of repair for eyelid injuries are given, with particular focus on what can be repaired in the eye casualty and what can wait for specialist oculoplastic intervention.
