ABSTRACT
One of the more common causes of eye casualty attendance the reader will encounter are corneal ulcers and contact lens related infections. The chapter details the differential diagnoses and how to discern the differences between the causes including spot diagnoses, when to investigate an ulcer and specific treatments. The chapter also details how to perform a corneal scrape, management of Acanthamoeba and the common pitfalls and how to avoid them.
