Here begins the third part of the “Fil os trato” in which, after the author’s invocation, Pandaro and Troilo speak together of the need to keep secret that which later is done with Criseida; to whom Troilo goes secretly, takes his delight and talks with her, departs and returns, lives in rejoicing and in song, but first the author’s invocation.
