Hollywood is a cinematographic machine for entertainment that spreads beauty in abundance until it becomes an object of desire. Hollywood’s influence is manifested in the creation of trends that powerfully impact the modern world. Fashion designers played a critical role in dictating Hollywood’s new fashion trends. Internalizing Hollywood standards of what constitutes a beautiful smile can have a number of implications. People who want to “play” the role of their idols sometimes even resort to dental surgery to transform their smiles. Hollywood has invented a way to smile, and often requires that actors and actresses keep their teeth new and shiny as part of their contracts. Images of flying cars, cryogenics, or intelligent robots are just a few examples of some of the technologies that abound in the future imagined by Hollywood writers. Hollywood continuously manifests its predilection for novelties using technologies to ensure its permanent renovation.
