ABSTRACT
A 33-year-old gentleman presents to the emergency department with a painful finger. He had been using a bow and arrow with his band of merry men when suddenly he felt a snap and had immediate pain in his finger. When you examine him his index finger is held straight and he is unable to flex at the distal interphalangeal joint.
