ABSTRACT

Cyclops presents to your clinic complaining of sudden painless visual loss. He says this happened suddenly and was like a curtain coming down across the vision. He does not think that there have been any foreign bodies entering his eye, although he had been helping his friend Odysseus move some sheep. He is normally fit and well, although he does have a diagnosis of hypertension. He does not take any regular medications. On examination, he reports being unable to see out of his eye and the visual acuity chart therefore cannot be completed. There are no obvious foreign bodies in the eye or under the eyelids.
