ABSTRACT

“I am the light of the sky, one and triune, the beginning and ending of all things; pray, what was ever equal to me or ever will be? And so true and gracious a light am I, that he who follows me will never go erring in a sad or shadowy place, but in happiness he will follow me to the angelic rays in eternal blessings, which are reserved for him from the time I created then. For those who speak of me, keeping their mind on the heavenly good with a sincere heart, and scorning the world and modern matters–which have power to draw pure souls into error–I am always with them, enflaming them ever more with my ardor. Therefore for you, Oh gracious chorus, may there always be peace, and may you dwell free of care; do not be frightened by my sonorous arrival or the bright light in these dark places.”
