ABSTRACT

This chapter covers the various maintenance, control, and organizational activities that are required to produce products and services for consumers of the sport facility. This will include an explanation of how the operational structure integrates with the operation of the sport facility, the need for a comprehensive, structured approach that seeks to improve the quality of facility services, and the general sport facility operating procedures that need to be managed within governmental guidelines and budget parameters. Additional considerations in green facility operations will also be discussed, including strategies to manage environmental conditions, ISO9000 standards, and LEED certification.
