House music can be bold, it can be repetitive; it can be inventive, it can be derivative; it can be witty, it can be dull; it can be emotional, it can be dreary. Ibiza had been a commercial holiday resort for much longer than Goa. Its tourist industry had produced an expensive club environment, where clubs, supplied with roofs since 1993, have managed to cater for a few thousand people at a time. It would be ridiculous to single out any one particular format as the logical conclusion of house music, since there is always a new one around the comer; acid house, deep house, progressive house, gabberhouse, happy house, epic house, hard bag, techno acid beats, nuhouse, there is no end to it.
