ABSTRACT
The process of getting everyone at home on the same page is challenging, even if Doug is simply attempting to get all the dishes done. Often life in general is filled with a matrix of opportunities and support systems that call for strong leadership, good understanding, and a form of character development that works something like what an old Jewish king once said, “Haughtiness goes before destruction; humility 70precedes honor.” Doug wants to share what he's learning at work, but decides that it is better to focus on the issues at hand. “How's it going, Caleb?” Caleb, looking up from his electronic gaming experience, mumbles, “Oh, OK.” “Isn't your college common application deadline today?” Doug calmly mentions. “Yes, I'll get to it in just a little bit.”
