ABSTRACT

Nobody likes to fail. We all want to feel competent, in control, and on top of our game. Teachers need to understand from their administrators, however, that there is not an expectation that every lesson will go perfectly. Teachers should not feel judged by their leaders when they are working through the “learning curve” of a new strategy or activity. Teachers always need the support and approval of their administrators, but this is especially true when they are experimenting with new professional practices.
