ABSTRACT

Generosity is a very important way to improve relationships with a company’s external and internal stakeholders. In a company, a person who adopts a generous attitude toward other stakeholders gives with no strings attached. Authentic generosity means giving unconditionally, without expecting anything in return. A generous person is more prone to bypass the default defensive attitude some stakeholders tend to adopt toward others, especially at the beginning of a relationship. Employees who are generous with others also create a positive impact on the business environment, which makes their actions more meaningful. All companies are interdependent with their internal and external stakeholders; no business is self-sufficient. In the business environment, adopting a grateful attitude creates a better connection with internal and external stakeholders. In the business environment, grateful people naturally perceive the positive aspects of each situation they face, especially challenging circumstances. In the business environment, many companies act in an ungrateful manner.
