ABSTRACT
There is a little bit of confusion that shows up with many of my students between an official business plan and what the tech world calls “the pitch deck.” A pitch deck is a formalized series of pitch slides that are designed to help people raise money for companies. A pitch deck is not a business plan. It’s a tool for communicating your business plan to others. The business plan itself is simply your plan for making money. It might not ever be written down, and it’s constantly being revised as you test and discover what people will in reality pay for.
