ABSTRACT
Chapter 2 discusses the participants in a project in the categories of direct, indirect and external participants. Direct participants who have specific project roles include the Owner, the project manager, the designers, the Contractor and vendors and suppliers. Indirect participants include various groups, mainly within the Owner’s organisation: the Directorate, Operations, Finance, Sales, Public Relations, Personnel and trade unions. External participants include statutory authorities, funding agencies and external groups who have an interest in the implementation of the project.
