ABSTRACT

The first chapter situates various thought systems of the 1960s and 1970s such as reform environmentalism, deep ecology, social ecology and ecofeminism within the larger schema of environmental scenarios after World War II. More precisely, it provides an account of eco-philosophical thinking and pragmatic changes in the political arena after World War II.
