A comparative understanding of the growth of the three colonial cities

The origin of the three cities of Calcutta, Bombay, and Madras has been compared here. We found that in all the cities the primary beginning was with the concept of property. In growing the property concept, the advantage came from the removal of the Portuguese from the Bay. But challenges came from competition of other European Companies. How these competitions were faced has been discussed in this chapter.
