ABSTRACT

A 65-year-old man presented to his general practitioner for a routine review. He had been feeling well over recent weeks. His past medical history included hypertension and hypercholesterolaemia. His regular medications were amlodipine 10 mg OD and atorvastatin 20 mg ON. He had no known drug allergies or intolerances. He was a retired shopkeeper and lived with his partner. He was an ex-smoker with a 20-pack year history and he drank approximately 10 units of alcohol per week.
