ABSTRACT
A 42-year-old woman presented to the emergency department after becoming light-headed and short of breath when rushing to work. Her symptoms had fully resolved by the time she was reviewed by a physician. She described feeling increasingly fatigued over recent weeks. She had no known past medical history and took no regular medications. The patient worked as a caterer, did not drink alcohol and had never smoked.
