ABSTRACT

A 43-year-old man presents to hospital complaining of a 24-h history of jaundice and abdominal pain. He has been feeling generally unwell for the past week and his appetite has been reduced. His past medical history includes pulmonary tuberculosis, for which he is currently being treated with isoniazid, rifampin and pyrazinamide. He works as an office manager, does not drink alcohol, takes no recreational drugs and has never smoked.
