ABSTRACT

A 53-year-old woman was brought to hospital complaining of chest pain. The pain was described as crushing in nature and was located over the centre of her chest, radiating to the left arm and jaw. She felt nauseated but had not vomited. Her past medical history included hypertension and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Her regular medications were: amlodipine 10 mg OD, ramipril 5 mg OD, metformin 1 g BD and gliclazide 80 mg OD.
