ABSTRACT
A 56-year-old man was admitted to hospital complaining of severe chest pain. The pain was located over the centre of his chest, was crushing in nature, 10/10 in severity and radiated to his left arm and jaw. His past medical history included hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus and angina pectoris. His regular medications included: aspirin 75 mg OD, ramipril 5 mg OD, metformin 1 g BD and atorvastatin 20 mg ON. He worked as an office manager, smoked 20 cigarettes daily and drank 30 units of alcohol per week.
