ABSTRACT
In this chapter, the author introduces and begins to explore the nature of the school counselor’s role in the arena of special education and specifically with college-bound students with learning disabilities. The author discusses responsibility and accountability of the school counselor in relation to this population of students and describes how school counselors are the logical point people in helping these students learn the skills they will need to be successful in college.
