ABSTRACT

Fuel-rich propellant is a multiphase interface composite that makes up a large number of solid fillers and adhesives, which processibility of the slurry depends not only on the rheological properties of the binder system but also on the surface-interface of solid filler and adhesive. The boron powder in the form of agglomerate particles is an important raw material for the preparation of fuel-rich propellant containing high mass fraction of boron particles. The surface properties of agglomerated boron particles (ABP) preparation under different conditions and the interfacial properties between boron, binder systems, and other solid fillers are of great significance in the preparation process of boron-based fuel-rich propellants. The surface-interfacial properties between ABPs and the binder system have a significant influence on the rheological properties of boron-based fuel-rich propellants. Firm bonding of ABPs can effectively play the physical cross-linking and interface strengthening role in fuel-rich propellant.
