The Contract Data provides the specific information referred to in the General Conditions required to define the unique characteristics of the particular Contract. Particular Conditions part B—special provisions is the contract document where any changes or additions to the general conditions are documented. Special provisions necessary for the particular requirements of the Works may comprise either modifications to the general conditions or additional provisions that supplement the general conditions. The general conditions may require modification, or it may be desirable to modify them where the governing law of the contract is that of a particular jurisdiction. The guidance for the preparation of particular conditions in the 2017 rainbow suite contains detailed notes on the preparation of Special Provisions. A tenderer familiar with Federation Internationale des Ingenieurs-Conseils general conditions needs to assess, in particular, those particular conditions that alter the risk allocation under the general conditions.
