ABSTRACT

In the October number of Accountics, the confidential relations existing between the accountant and his client were discussed at some length. Attention was called to the fact that there is very little in the way of legal decisions to serve as precedent and guide, when the question of professional secrecy is in controversy. The new year with the National Association of Credit Men opened auspiciously, with Secretary Prendergast full of good works and at the same time with demands upon him that were more than convenient to meet. At the meeting of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Credit Men held in Chicago, late in November, resolutions were adopted providing for a fund of ten thousand dollars to be raised for the prosecution of fraudulent debtors. The interest of Baltimore business men in the work of the Baltimore Credit Men’s Association was evidenced by their attendance at the third annual meeting held in December.
