ABSTRACT
140To the best of our knowledge, there is not enough substantial investigations on security issues in the IoT-based Edge Computing. Therefore, in this chapter, the impact of Edge computing in IoT environments is analyzed from security and privacy perspective. We aim at proposing a new direction of the IoT research on threats and security attacks detection and prevention. Furthermore, formal fidelity and trust analysis will be discussed as well to emphasize the effectiveness of Edge computing in IoT paradigms, where edge devices are prone to unsecured data retrieval from the authorized nodes in the cloud.
