ABSTRACT
Patient-centered care is sustained by the power of information. The patients have the power to instantly access health information through their computers or mobile phones. Patient care has become a primary focus in the development of new concepts and knowledge in healthcare technology. The patient feels more powerful if they can check the staff themselves. There is a sense of achievement and confidence that comes from that. A few healthcare systems have been adopting the texting system for communications from a patient to a doctor. The electronic medical record has forms that a physician has to click and fill. This makes it easy to write the information from the patients and to give an accurate picture without forgetting an essential part of the history and physical.
