ABSTRACT

The book Mastering Patient Flow by Elizabeth Woodcock has impressively summarized quite well the different stages of physician practice. The quality care of patients can be increased by a simple adjustment of the physician’s time. Most of the time, when physicians come into practice, they make a list of things to do for their own and forget that they work for training, and therefore, they tend to see fewer patients and spend less time with them. Not only the patient contacts but also the most uncomplicated services can be a hurdle for the patients and create confusion and poor-quality services. Press Ganey is the nation’s leading provider of patient satisfaction surveys, the Yelp equivalent for hospitals and doctors, and is the central component of healthcare reform. The Press Ganey score is important because it highlights those processes or services within the healthcare system that need to be reviewed.
