ABSTRACT
The application of just-in-time (JIT) in an industrial firm means bringing the delivery capability of the whole firm into line with the requirements of the market on a just-in-time basis. The advantages of Overall Logistic concept integrated into a JIT system for the whole of the enterprise are all evident in the following: faster implementation and reaction times both in the marketplace and in the company and therefore greater flexibility. The role and importance of the end market for the establishment and functioning of a company's logistic system have been emphasised quite intentionally because for a mass production company, it is from this side that the impulse must come. The part of the communication channel in the logistic system is the flow of materials and production, right the way through from procurement, via production, to distribution and the customer.
