Introduction

IDENTA ’85, the 1st International Congress on Technologies for Police Identification & Counter-Terrorism, met in Jerusalem during the week 24–28 February 1985. The conference, held with the assistance of the Israel National Police and under the patronage of the Hebrew University, was attended by over 300 participants from more than twenty-five different countries.
