In the preceding chapter, current and projected US and world demand for the various components of the nuclear fuel cycle have been compared with existing and planned supply capacities. Supply deficiencies have been identified, perhaps most strikingly in the world supply of natural uranium and the US supply of uranium enrichment services, and also in projected deficiencies in the world supply of reprocessing services and spent fuel storage.
